After 8 years of research, multiple collaborations with international doctors and a patent, AUZIKER we have developed a transversal technology to develop canine training devices, which combines:
The AUZIKER team, with extensive experience in the study of volatile organic compounds (the substances that make up scents), uses high-end analytical instruments and exhaustive data processing based on machine learning. This allows us to identify the molecules responsible for the scents that dogs memorize. We then recreate these aromas accurately and deposit them in inert materials that do not give off odors, thus creating the training device. This device is packaged in a new certified material, selected in collaboration with BCMaterials, a center dedicated to the research of new materials, applications, and nanostructures. This material neither absorbs nor emits odors and is resistant to friction and high temperatures, among other features. Furthermore, the entire process is carried out according to green chemistry principles, avoiding the use of polluting solvents and generating non-polluting waste.
With all this, we have created a technology that allows us to simulate real operating environments to maximize the potential of canines as a detection tool, since they make it possible to create training baits.
With true scent: Preliminary studies are carried out with an electronic nose, the gas chromatography technique coupled to a mass detector with headspace sampling, which works very similarly to dogs olfactory system, to analyze and detect unequivocally which are the substances that make up the aromas that the dogs have to mark, and we recreate them.
Safe: the well-being of trainers and canines is one of the biggest concerns for AUZIKER, that is why the molecules are absorbed in a 100% safe way and concentration, validated by the Official Madariaga Laboratory and certified by the Subdelegation of Mines of the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transformation and Demographic Challenge.
Solvent-free: in order not to generate false negatives due to the masking of the target molecules by the powerful smell of solvents, they are not used. Our training baits only carry the target molecul.
Versatile, useful and comfortable size: the size is minimized to the maximum to be able to hide it comfortably and force the K-9 to detect the molecules by smell and not by sight. In addition, no prior manipulation is required, as the odour is naturally desorbed
With real odour cone: the inert material in which the target molecules are absorbed allows the aroma to not be encapsulated, thus generating a natural and non-simulated odour cone.
