Last week, from November 24th to 27th, the CANEX 02/25 exercises were held in Cartagena, led by the Third Marine Infantry Regiment (Tercio de Levante).

On Thursday the 27th, at the Renfe train station, DEX and C-IED dogs from the various participating security forces and agencies carried out several detection exercises using our TATP Training Kit. This was an excellent opportunity to test their performance in a realistic operational environment and to further promote collaboration between dogs, science, and handlers.

We would like to thank the Marines for the invitation; it was a true honor. We also extend our gratitude to the General for his impeccable hospitality, to the Commandant for the warm welcome and all the support he provided, and to the Lieutenant for taking such good care of us.

It was a real pleasure to share the day with professionals from the canine units of so many branches: Navy, Air Force and Space, Army, CEMILCANDEEF (Center for Military and Army Canine Units), National Police, Civil Guard, and Portuguese Navy. An admirable display of professionalism and dedication.

Furthermore, we had the honor of meeting Pedro Salas, with whom we enjoyed discussing ideas for further maximizing the dog’s potential in real-world operations.
